Manga VS Comic

If you read my profile you will realize that I fond of reading comic. Actually the titles written in my favorite books column don’t belong to comic, but actually belong to manga. So what is actually this thing called manga? . To put it simply, manga is comic from Japan while comic in common is from western countries especially America. Aside from the origins, they share other differences. Below are the differences between manga and comic in my version:

           They have different names
LOL, of course it is obvious, sorry it’s only a teaser :p .

       Main character
The main character in comic usually described as a super hero or warrior, while the main character in manga tends to be more various, it can be an ordinary student with his daily problems.

Storyline
Led by the difference of the main character, the storyline of manga and comic tend to be different too. The storyline of comic usually deals with the fight between goodness and evil while the storyline of manga can be
only a slice of life.

        The appearances of the characters
The obvious difference is on the eyes. The characters in manga tend to be seen ‘cute’ while the characters in comic tend to be seen ‘serious’. Sometimes both manga and comic make abstract/surreal characters, but the difference in eyes is still obvious.

 Coloration
The last difference between manga and comic is in coloration. Manga usually is not in full color page, while comic usually is in full color page, but sometimes there are mangas which are in full color pages yet they still share differences in coloration. Manga tends to be soft and harmonious while comic tend to be ‘bold’ and gaudy in coloration.
