EWC Writing Competition 3 : The Angers of Nature

Seems like today's posts will be all of my writings in English Writing Community Writing Competition's history since I found all of my writing of that writing competition. My next writing is my second writing for the third EWC Writing Competition. I skipped the second competition because the regulation stated that the winner of the first writing competition was not allowed to join the next competition. Well, that was a weird regulation but I didn't give any objection towards that regulation and thanks god because after the third one that regulation is revoked. My writing didn't be the one shown on the wall magazine because it lost to the writing of the owner of www.sincerelyputdar.blogspot.com which is also the owner of my heart, LOL. Untill now I still don't know what her writing was and why I lost to her, but if you want to know my writing, this is it  :D

The Angers of Nature

A hundred of bodies lying on the ground, many houses are destroyed because of the horde of water that pass through them blindly, those are some of the result of deluge that happened in Wasior, Papua. Tsunami in Mentawai may be not as devastating as Tsunami that happened in Aceh several years ago. But,
the pain they feel inside because of losing the family are the same with them in Aceh. People of Yogyakarta are trembling; their grips are tight on something around them, they run to place where the vast sky is the roof, they are afraid to stay at their own houses, they are afraid of tremors, they are afraid of the anger of mount Merapi, and of course they are afraid of losing their lives. Not only a tremor caused by eruption of mount Merapi which they afraid of, but also the dangerous smoke that run through the sloping line of mount Merapi to their residence. This smoke can turn us into different people, but it is not a magical smoke which can turn Cinderella from ordinary girl into a beautiful princes. It is a kind of smoke which can turn us from a human being into dust just in split seconds.

Impacted and crushed by those disasters above, what should we do? Is it okay if we cry and engulfed in grieve? Yes it is okay for us to feel sad, because it is humane to feel sad when losing what we love and losing what we are fighting for. However, life must go on, it will not change anything if we just stay and cry. It will not resurrect people who have gone to the next life sooner before we do. All of these disasters are the sign of the anger of nature, these disasters just like someone who angry without saying anything, just like our girlfriends or boyfriends who leave us suddenly without saying any word, but we can understand that he/she is angry at us. Let’s get along with nature, let’s understand the nature well, and let’s be friendly to our nature, so that we can lessen the coming of nature’s anger.
